Walking/Trekking in Cappadocia
1. Red Valley Walk/Trek (half day)
We start off at Ortahisar Culture Museum then see their unique underground
natural cave storages, go for a walk in Red Valley (1½-2½ hours), and finally
visit the spectacular Cavusin
(Cha-voo-sheen) Castle with St John the Baptist's Church and fairy chimneys. Red Valley is one of the
best loved walks in the region, with its spectacular views, rockscapes, local culture and hidden surprises.
This half-day tour is a great introduction to Cappadocia, and fits well into a program where you arrive at Kayseri airport in the morning.
2. Red Valley Walk/Trek + Goreme and Zelve Museums (1 day)
We start the day with a walk in Red Valley (approx. 2 hours), then visit the
spectacular Cavusin
(Cha-voo-sheen) Castle with St John the Baptist's Church and fairy chimneys. A
not-to-be-missed sight is Goreme Open Air Museum with amazing rock cave churches
with many different frescos. After this we visit Pasabagi (Pasha-baa), Zelve
Open Air Museum which until recently was an inhabited cave village, Devrent
Valley with its special rock formations which is called Imagination Valley by locals,
and Avanos to see the special way local pottery has been made for thousands of
years.

3. Love Valley Trek, Underground City + Local Village (1 day)
We start off in the village of Mustafapasha (also known as Sinasos) to see the
traditional Greek-style houses and village life as it is lived today. After this
we will visit Kaymakli Underground City to see how locals hid safely from
invaders in former times. On the way to Love Valley we will stop at the
panoramic viewpoints of Pigeon Valley, Uchisar Rock Castle and Esentepe Hill,
each offering a breathtaking and awesome view of Cappadocia's unique landscape.
We will end our day with an amazing walk in Love Valley (approx. 3 hours).

Ihlara Valley Trek, Underground City + Local Villages (1 day)
We start our day at Kaymakli
Underground City before visiting Narligol crater lake and Guzelyurt rock village.
In the afternoon we will walk Ihlara canyon (half or full length) to see the
natural wonders and how traditional life is still lived by the waterside. At the
end of the canyon is Selime viewpoint, the snowy-rocky landscape of the very
first Star Wars movie, and on the journey home we will drop into a caravanserai,
which was like a motel for the camel trains that traveled the Silk Road.
