Rafting in Cappadocia
Rafting Tour (1 day)
Take a scenic route to the Zamanti River. Training and basic skills are practiced
on a grade 1-2 water section before meeting the grade 3-4 section. There are breaks for body rafting,
side tours, games and a light snack on the way. After a delicious lunch, we visit the
awesome
Kapuzbasi series of waterfalls with heights between 30 and 50 meters falling
into the Zamanti River before returning to Cappadocia.
Rafting and Camping Tour (2, 3 or 4 days)
Day one as above, with afternoon exploration of the area around the waterfalls and
locality of the campsite.
On day two we will negotiate some 20km of grade 4 rapids and we will see the amazing sight known as Alice in Wonderland. In the evening we will have a quality-cooked camping dinner and spend the night in the middle of nowhere.
On day three pass through an 82-metre natural cave tunnel and Zamanti's best white water. In the afternoon we will meet the Seyhan River and this added big volume will carry us to the end of the day. Near the remote hotel where we will spend the night is an ancient water mill, which we will explore.
On day four we will enter the Wishing Well Gorge with its grade 4 and 5 rapids. After a couple of hours of white fun, the river evens out for a lazy cruise. Lunch is at a fish restaurant. We then depart for Cappadocia, a 4-hour drive that takes us through the Kilikian Passages with their breathtaking views.
